Beautiful Sosaku Kokeshi by master Yoshida Takashi (1948- 2007). He has won many awards including the Prime Minister's Award and is known for rare and exclusive pieces. This one is of a girl, wrapped in a kimono that is hand carved with intricate patterns and painted in vibrant colors. It is extra large and quite heavy. Stamped and includes a stand and plaque. In good vintage condition. Handmade in Japan.
