Piet Hein, a mathematician, poet and freedom fighter designed the Soma cube in 1933 during a lecture on quantum mechanics conducted by Werner Heisenberg. There are 240 distinct solutions. This beautiful example was made from solid rosewood cubes in Denmark by Skjode of Skjern for Parker Brothers. It includes the original aluminum base, box and booklet. Very good vintage condition.
