I Will Return Motto Necklace

Made by stamping an 1800s carved seal with 'mottos' in French, Italian, Latin or English on to gold. A rectangular disc in gold and an accent diamond on the front with satin finish that will turn shiny over time features an image of a setting sun & dusk with the French phrase “Je reviendrai” (‘I will return’ or ‘I shall return tomorrow’), giving the promise of hope & rebirth.. and/or the promise the parting is just temporary. On the reverse, a fox chasing rooster up a tree with French words “fin contre fin” ( ‘end against end’ or ‘end vs expected ending.’) This piece is from Aesop fable of ‘the Fox and the Rooster.’ From the fable, we all learn how the rooster turns the tables and beats the fox at his own game.
