Skultuna Brass Lily Candle Holder

Founded in 1607 by King Karl IX, Skultuna has been a brass foundry in continuous use for over 400 years making it one of the oldest companies in the world.  Still producing traditional chandeliers and candlesticks, they have been engaging some of the best designers in the world for new work as well as digging into archives . The Lily, "Liljan" in Swedish ,was originally designed by sculptor Ivar Ålenius Björk for the 1939 World Fair in New York. It was produced by Ystad Metall and brought back by Skultuna. Two arched leaves come out of a cylinder in polished brass that fits a standard taper candle. Sculptural and classic, this candlestick can be found in many Scandinavian homes. Designed by Ivar Ålenius Björk. Made in Sweden.
