Regarding Paul R Williams

Photographer Janna Ireland's intimate and moody vision of the work of one of the most important architects to work in Southern California.  He designed  municipal buildings, private homes as well as banks, churches, hospitals, and university halls.  1923, Williams became the first Black member of the American Institute of Architects. Notable for building some of the most beautiful houses in Los Angeles for many celebrities at a time he would not have been legally able to own a home in those neighborhoods because of red lining.
